Vinny McCoy
Founder of Meridian Security,
Vinny is an award winning speaker with Toastmasters International. As well as delivering speeches and evaluations to motivate and encourage, he has also mentored new members.
Vinny served in the Irish Army for 23 years, taking part in peacekeeping roles in various conflict areas with the United Nations. For over 20 years, he was also an instructor, preparing and training new recruits. He is a hands-on trainer, personally training all employees and was awarded Security Institute Trainer of the Year in 2006. He has the experience and knowledge to encourage and lead people to believe in themselves and their capabilities in any situation.
Vinny’s interest includes GAA, and was a prominent member of the Defence Forces All Army GAA team, and represented the Defence Forces GAA Team in Australia.
He also captained the winning Irish Army soccer team in the UNIFIL cup in the Middle East.

Shane Mc Coy
Company Director
Working in the security industry for over twelve years and obtaining qualifications in Security Management – Event Management along with numerous QQI awards.
Shane has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the security industry, overseeing security operations in both the commercial sector and Event industry he’s headed major operations from small to large festivals – St Patricks Day Parades & Irelands largest theme park.
Striving to achieve new goals daily Shane is a valued part of Meridian Security and will remain an assist to the company for years to come.

Barry McCoy
Operation Manager
Barry has worked in security industry for the past 12 years. He has gained experience in Aviation security involving investigating document fraud to profiling passengers with a leading global airline also working in the finance security sector monitoring documents. Since 2010 Barry has overseen operations for meridian security with responsibly for continuing to increase the quality and service we supply to all our clients and the internal auditing of company documentation and quality systems.
